The standards, procedures and methods that are featured in the Architectural Office Practices and Standards were first made available for public consumption in 1995, when McGraw-Hill published our book, called Architectural Office Standards and Practices -- A Practical User's Guide. It is now out of print and not readily available. During the past eight years, I have been updating and expanding this book to make it a comprehensive and authoritative resource for smaller architectural firms. Chances are that you don't have the time to train all of your employees in the minutiae required in the day-to-day practice of architecture. And you probably don't have the time to develop a manual like this one to keep your staff going in the right direction.
